The first key that you need in order to maximize your use of these products is to know exactly where to apply them on your body and the best time to use them. You need to apply them to hot spots such as your neck, wrists, elbows, or jugular.
When you apply them this way it doesn't take much of the scented oil to do a big job. I call these areas hot spots because they are places where the veins are close to the skin, therefore there is more blood flow through the area.
The best time to apply them is immediately after a shower. After you shower your pores are open so the scented oil will be more easily absorbed into the skin. When this happens the fragrance will settle into the pores of your skin and last much longer. Scented oil is not water based so the fragrance just stays there longer because the oil won't evaporate.
You have to choose your fragrance according to several things: First of all is your body chemistry. Body chemistry is influenced by your health, physical condition, levels of different hormones, stress, and the foods that you consume among other things.
Also choose the fragrance according to it's theme. The name of the fragrance will tell exactly what the perfumer had in mind when he or she designed it. The ingredients that it contains will support its name. For example a scent like love potion will contain sensual ingredients that excite the person who smells it on you.
Don’t overcompensate by adding too much fragrance. We want others to experience our scented oils but don’t use too much. Fragrance needs to be subtle so that when a person gets close to you they will experience it and it will give them a pleasant surprise.
It should give them an indication of your persona and an additional clue as to who you are. Don’t try to blast them to get them to know. The best way to use it is to give them just enough to get their attention.
Always time the wearing of your fragrance with the event or situation. Learn the different effect of each fragrance note and apply it to correspond with what you will be doing at a certain time. If you know that the second note will be at its best in three hours apply the fragrance three hours before you want it to be most effective. Also keep a little bit of the fragrance with you if you want to maintain an effect over time. Apply a little of it from time to time so that it will have the aroma that you want it to have.
Choose your fragrance according to the type of social event that you will be attending. You probably wouldn’t wear the same fragrance to a party that you would wear to a job interview. You by the same token would probably not wear the same fragrance around a group of people that you would wear in the company of your loved one or that member of the opposite sex that you want to impress.
